Lived on the river all my life, 62 years old. Still own a canoe, runabout, and pontoon. I have always believed the size of the boats should be limited, no wake by gas and beaches but the river is too narrow down here to accommodate this. Fix the no brainers and remove 40' and above, give us a break at the gas pumps and beaches.

Below of the Algonquin dam is the perfect place for a water trail. You will significantly lower peoples property value if this passes. There is many people on the lower river who live there because they have boats. No one that is serious about powerboating is going to move into a long no wake section.

Even if they were to pass this, it would still be unsafe for unmotorized boats to be out at the same time as motorized boats. Paddle boats, canoes, etc. still have plenty of time and room available to them during the week, in the mornings, and in the evenings on the weekends and holidays. Leave the lower river alone.

The Fox is a Federal waterway. Who can transform it to an "Ecosystem Water Trail"? Busiest waterway in the country for pleasure boating....

As a prospective buyer of a property on the Lower Fox River, I would forego a purchase along this part of the River is this plan were passed and instigated. The threat to waterfront front property values is real.
