Fashion communication currently only has one small room (144 grand parade) for first and second year, which is around 80 students. We have none of our own facilities and are not permitted to use other courses facilities that are much needed. Photography for example is a major part of our course, yet we cannot access the photography department in Edward street. We need more facilities and work space in order to flourish with our course.

The university leadership can no longer ignore that we are being packed into a single room like cattle while our work suffers. This momentum proves that we refuse to be sidelined while other courses get the resources we deserve.

As a student at Brighton Uni on Grand Parade campus, I am aware that rooms are not perminantly occupied and could be used productively by fashion coms. All students on each course should be given an equal opportunity to use the space on this campus.
i was looking forward to starting university here in Brighton, but I have been massively disappointed with the lack of facilities and organisation with the course. I feel that it is unacceptable that we are paying £9,000 a year to not use a majority of the facilities in the university while other courses seem to have good access to everything that they need. I know that many students dropped out last year and a lot have already left the course this year before second term had even begun! I feel as course leaders wouldn't they take anichitive and try to improve the course dramatically. I am in full support of this petition!
One room, no access to important facility's, £9,000 a year, What's going on? It seems that the fashion communication students are not being valued. How can they do their work to the best of their abilities if they can't access the correct equipment?
It is disgraceful that Brighton Uni fashion communication students do not have the facilities that are so important for their course. They pay full fees. This is outragious..
Clothes rail needed, better photographic services, a studio - working space, be able to use moving image/photography space in Edwards street!!

If you're going to charge students £9,000 you should give them space to study. They've paid for it!

Brighton has always had space problems .in the fashion department. New courses and bigger numbers are not adequately planned for by management. Thus leaving committed teaching staff and enthusiastic students doing their best to copes do the cause of stress
