I remember when this bridge was built! Whatever happened to no more tolls once the bridge was paid for? A disgrace!!!

This toll is out of control. Absolutely unaffordable to anyone that isn't rich. Living on Staten Island it is hard to even have family visit and expect them to pay this toll. Think about having a special occasion and or a party (say birthday) your gift is always their presence, but this is fact traveling to Staten Island! Speaking to people about this situation gets everyone upset and we would love to know where the millions of dollars they make everyday is going? Why a raise it's already an unheard of toll?

Staten Island is isolated from the rest of the city because it is too expensive to come here.

Give the people a break. Those of us who work and shop in Staten Island help the economy in Staten Island. Now with an increased toll many of us will be unable to.

Let's make this happen. It's cheaper to the longer bus ride if need be, but it costs more if your time.

I have family that leaves in system island, I'm on a fixed income cannot afford toll fee so I don't get to see my family as often as I would like.

$17 is absolutely outrageous to pay for crossing into Staten Island, particularly those who have to cross every day. We need a discounted rate!

I travel to New Jersey from Brooklyn for work. This is same concept of driving from Staten Island to Brooklyn. Why should someone in Staten Island good discount and not the Brooklyn residence?
