I have been reading through the stories you leave in the comments about the chaos on our streets after 1am and it confirms exactly why this matters. The current system is unsafe for everyone involved and the local officials need to see how much we are struggling with these outdated restrictions.

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that I am not the only one frustrated by the chaos on our streets at closing time. It means the world to see so many of you backing a change that would make our city safer and more vibrant for everyone.

Belfast is so behind on this. Other cities stay open way later and it works fine. Fed up of paying for a night out only to be kicked out before the night really starts.
Finally someone said it. The taxi situation is dangerous as it is with everyone fighting for space at the same time.
Total joke. We are a capital city not a village. Keep the bars open later and the crowds will actually spread out.
Need to act like a modern city. 1am is way too early.
Stupidest rule ever. Trying to get a taxi at 1am in the rain with every other person in the city is a nightmare. Sort it out.

EVERYONE is just standing on the street at 1am being loud and causing hassle. Opening longer would fix so much of that mess. Please let us have later hours.
