This new policy of tights and pantyhose seems a little too extreme. If the problem in the past was girls wearing their skirts too short, then their parents should be contacted and they should be sent home to correct the issue.

The new uniform regulations makes STM a lot less appealing to 8th graders deciding which school they will attend as freshmen.

I was explaining the new uniform to my mentees mom who is unfamiliar with STM and before I even gave my opinion about the uniform, she said it was ridiculous, and she went to a catholic school growing up. This is a parent and this should say something about this new policy.

Wearing different socks is a way to express ourselves and that is being taken away.

If there is a length requirement for the skirt, then tights are unnecessary. If there are girls violating the skirt length policy, the administrators should handled these individual situations rather than punish everyone. I would prefer a spandex under the skirt rule than having to continually buy new tights. Have you ever tried to put on tights after sweating in PE? Not pleasant.
