sfms is one of the most diverse middle schools in south texas. there are girls wearing lululemon on free dress days and girls who wear the same, donated uniform every single day. please appreciate what you have and realize that it’s really not that bad. i think y’all can handle some fuzzy leggings with a pawprint on them.

Some of y’all are forgetting that some people can not afford nice leggings and trendy t-shirts . A uniform policy is put in place for a reason. Some families can not provide these kinds of clothes for their kids. Stop thinking about yourself and start thinking about your peers and how this could also affect them in a negative way.

y'all are forgetting the whole reason of the uniform. the school has a bunch of diffrent socioeconomic statuses. the point of a uniform is to make it fair for everyone that you don't need to have lulu lemon leggings and fancy clothes to have friends or be popular. this is middle school. you will survive.

We asking for something very reasonable and doing it respectfully there is no difference between school legging and ones we have at home. The leggings are also $40 and very bad quality when I can find some on Amazon for $20 I realize I should be grateful that we can wear leggings at all but I just don’t see the point or reason of why we can’t wear ones we already own (navy, black or gray)

It’s seems completely fair and logical given the boys’ dress code. I agree with rules and following them, but seems logical from the girls point of view. It is nothing flashy, just better fitting leggings than the ones the spirit wear offer.

y’all need to chill. sfms has a uniform, get over it. when i was in 6th grade, we could only wear khakis, no darker colors, and polo shirts monday through thursday. you have sfms leggings. if they are free dress leggings, that defeats the purpose. be grateful for what you have

If the spirit wear leggings have worked out well since their introduction a few years ago, it seems reasonable to extend the uniform code to allow other black or navy leggings.
