Megan, I found a wallet on the ground. I don’t know who it belongs to. How can I return it to them? I hope they realize it’s gone! Wow look at that! They/them pronouns in singular use! Also, if god doesn’t make mistakes please take a trip down to Vanderbilt childrens and visit the kids with cancer etc. tell they god did it on purpose, it wasn’t a mistake—their pain and suffering. Better yet tell their parents that. I’m sure it’ll go over well.

Have you ever met a trans woman? Reality is they exist. Also do everyone a favor and look up the statistics on how many teen trans girls “harm” cis girls. I’m sure those numbers are astounding.

Lol is anyone in these comments under 50? The sentiment expressed here is so out of touch with the world of young people today and says far more about you than Harpeth Hall, or transgender people. As Jess Hill said, not a single MtF student has not applied at this time, so all this pearl clutching is nakedly performative. But by all means, draw a big red circle around your geriatric and insecure worldview for the rest of us to see...what, exactly, are you so afraid of? Remember the folks protesting as Ruby Bridges walked into that elementary school in the 60's? That. You look like that. Y'all need to look in the mirror and improve yourselves. I'm class of '08 and proud to support HH in standing on the right side of history.

Trying to enact a policy change like this at the beginning of a school year when some parents have just enrolled their children was so very unethical. Where was the conversation with the students and parents?

I am appalled that the school I have always praised and been proud to call my alma mater would take this position. It’s not based in reality; it places girls in harm’s way; and it tries erase women’s unique biological make up. Trans women are NOT women, because one cannot become a different gender anymore than one can become a different species, race, or age. I can no longer recommend HH to others.

My sister attended Harpeth Hall. I was considering donating in the future, but their values have changed. I cannot support unless they change their position on allowing boys who identify as girls to attend a girls school. This is unacceptable.
