I am 72 years old and had always loved Gil Hodges. I believe that if Gil had not died so soon, he would have proven to be one of the best manages in baseball, if not the best. I feel very confident in saying that. Besides being a great ballplayer and manager, he had a calm gentle style of his own which led players to have a very deep respect for him. Because of the respect he received from his ballplayers, he managed to get the best out of them. Gil should not be denied being in the Hall because his life was cut short. Yes, he was a great player and manager, but more than that, he was a great person.

Gil Hodges should be in the baseball hall of fame.We both have be big fans of him since we were Brooklyn Dogers fans. We have some of his baseball cards.He has all the qualifiction a person must have for the hall of fame.He should have be elected years ago.

It's time to get Gil Hodges where he belongs. I was a die hard Brooklyn fan growing up and he was my absolute favorite. I hope and pray this happens for him. He certainly deservces to be in Cooperstown. Good luck and God bless!
