As a boy growing up in Brooklyn, I delivered th Eagle. Each Friday when the Dodgers were home, I would make sure I collected enough to pay my bill the next morning and then off to buy a box seat behind first base. If memory serves me right, I was there when Gil hit four home runs in one game.

My high school class mates and I saved the coupons from milk containers and went to practically every home game to see our heroes. Kids don't have too many heroes to look up to these days. We did. Please vote to yes for Gil Hodges. He was a truly great first basement and deserves the honor. Thank you.
