I grew up with the Brooklyn Dodgers and my dad taking me to Ebbets Field. In addition to be loved, he was the finest fist baseman of his era. If character, leadership, humility and awesome stats means anything, Gil should be in the Hall of Fame and these comments unecessary. I feel, finally, this is his year.
