Everyone talks about WAR and Gil Hodges not having a high enough number, funny how such an average first baseman could help anchor a Dodger offense that won 6 pennants between 49-59 when Gil was a starter. Even Casey Stengel called him the best first baseman in the league.

My chief sports wish for this year is that Hodges be elected to the Hall. If there is anything I can do to help bring this about, I certainly would like to do it!
