All of the above is enough its a disgrace Ted Williams is the reason he is not in the last vote was entered and gave him 75% so why a sick Roy Campinella s vote didn't count should have been overuled in my eyes he is there

I believe it's well past time for the Dodgers to take part of the responsibility for Gil Hodges not being elected into the Hall of Fame. The Dodgers have refused to retire Gil's number and honor him with a plaque on their Ring of Honor. I am aware of the Dodger tradition of only retiring numbers of people who have entered the Hall of Fame. However, although I love Jim Gilliam dearly, they made an exception for him. The Dodgers must make another exception for Gil and retire his number and honor him with a plaque on the Ring of Honor. Until the Dodgers do that, the Hall of Fame committee can always come back with a convenient excuse and say that Gil doesn't deserve to be elected to the Hall of Fame because even his own team didn't retire his number. It's time now to end this tragedy while Gil's wife Joan, Vin Scully, Don Newcombe and Tommy Lasorda are still alive to know that he has been properly respected and honored…

It's past due time for Gil Hodges to be in the Baseball Hall of Fame. He was the leader and perennial 100 RBI man on the great Brooklyn Dodgers teams of the 1950s, was the best fielding first baseman of his era, was a man of true character, led the previously hapless New York Mets to the 1969 Championship, and has statistics that are comparable to those already in the Hall of Fame. It is time to correct this oversight.

Mr. Hodges had 20-40 homers every year for 11 years in a row and 80-plus RBI 10 of those 11 seasons, includin 7 consecutive 100-plus RBI seasons. Played in seven World Series and hit .391 in the '59 Series. Manged the 1969 Miracle Mets. Nearly 2,000 career hits. He belongs in the Hall.
