Long overdue for this All Star among All Stars on the great Brooklyn teams. He was a great leader of the Mets and brought us a miracle! A man of incredible integrity, War Hero, best fielding first baseman of his era. He was penalized for dying young! If Tony Perez and Ron Santo are in the HOF, it is ridiculous to keep Gil out. Please put him in while his widow Joan can appreciate it!

Probably too many accolades to list here but Gil Hodges is certainly a Hall of Fame baseball player. Compare him to the players of his era and his relevance in baseball history and to me it's a no-brainer offensively defensively as a person and as a manager he's the full package
