GIL HODGES was an icon. He was a great player and manager but also a great human being. he set the example for many kids who liked baseball. His stats speak for themselves and he is still among the best firstbasemen of all time stats wise. Only we know he was the example they all tried to emulate. You have kept him out of the HALL of FAME long enough unjustly! Its time has come!

You had to know him,to appreciate the kindness he had toward young people.I met and shook his huge hands a few times. His caracter is second to none in addition to being a great player and Fan favorite iin the Boro of Brooklyn. His time for the Hall is now for the second time.He was already voted in once until Ted Williams denied Roy Campanells's Telephone vote from his Hospital Bed. That was really rotten and darn it, He belongs there NOW.!!

Grew up my whole life driving by his old house in Petersburg hearing the great stories of this great man and player. It's way past time to do what's right and induct him to The Hall of Fame.

It's a travesty the Gil Hodges isn't in the Hall of Fame yet, it's time for the Golden Era Committee to finally make it right and put Gil in the Hall!

It is incomprehensible that Hodges was not picked by original Veterans" Committee. Many peopel feel that he already in - slowing down the express!
