It doesn't make sense to why he's not in the hall of fame. I have not read a good reason why he's not in the hall of fame. I looked up reasons for his not being in the hall of fame as a player and manager and still I don't see a reason.

Just a Hoosier who lives close to Gil's hometown, would like to see him make it. But from what I've heard and read he was a great guy anyways

Great Dodger and Washington Senator's Manager, who I believe holds the record for Grand Slams (14)

We are thrilled that this footage exists. What a confirmation of the Class and Character this man exudes. I will share this with everyone too in hopes to finally see Mr Gil Hodges inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. His grandson and our Jennifer must be so proud. Thanks for sharing this clip with the FB world.

Not having Gil in the Hall is criminal. He as well as a few others I can think of belong there if The Hall Of Fame is to have any integrity.

Was the best at his position during the 1950's and distinguished himself during his time as manager. 20 years as a leader and team leader. Highest moral fiber-- exactly what a HOF member should be. PUT GIL in the HOF!!!

Its an injustice to keep preventing GIL HODGES for being inducted where he belongs: THE HALL of FAME.
