As a fan and neighbor of Gil I had the priviledge of meeting him off the field. He was even more of the gentle man he on-field image conveyed. And his stats speak for themselves; let's get him on the ballot.

My father and Gil were childhood friends in Petersburg IN. Through the stories my father shared with me about Gil, and the times I met him through 1972, he has always been the epitome of class, professionalism, and stellar play. This man belongs in the HOF...NOW.
