Starting at age 7 my dad took me to sit behind 1st base to watch Gil whom I've admired all my 70 yrs. this travesty must be corrected by placing this treasure of a man in his rightful place at Cooperstown.

Compare Gil's record with Hall-of-Fame first baseman Tony Perez. Now, toss in Hodges the manager and Hodges the human being. Yes, Gil Hodges should be enshrined in the BB Hall of Fame.

When I think of baseball in the 50's I think of three names: Gil Hodges, Leo Durocher, and Joe DiMagio. Gil Hodges belongs in the HOF just like the other two.
