Gifted Homeroom was one of the best aspects of the gifted program that allowed for readily Avaliable help and discussion between gifted students and with a gifted teacher or advocate. Separating our home rooms and no longer having one for gifted in general is a detriment to our educational experience.

Although I don't think this will work, I think it's really important to have gifted play some active role in our time in high school, since without homeroom, we won't.

I'm not great with writing fancy speechlike comments or anything so here's a poem I just wrote:
I've been with some of you since the times when I was still trying to tie my shoe laces,
and I met others when I was trying to tie my thoughts together in my own mind.
And up to the moments when I would leave the middle school; I was trying to tie words to my lips and speak out.
Maybe I wish for more time to talk to some of you
to make up for the things I did or didn't do
and perhaps I wished to do those things in gifted homeroom.
Oh the things I could have done,
the things I could have said,
millions of random ideas just sprawling out of my own head
I would have liked to discuss them some more with all of you.
All the thoughts and memories,
things that vanished before my eyes and whisked right by my cheeks
the things that came and gone
I want to reflect on those things so much more with you all;
and I could do that in gifted homeroom.

I honestly don't think this will work but it's important to a lot of people so I will.

Gifted homeroom is a vital part of the day where peers of simliar intellect can gather and collaborate on ideas of projects, seminars, and any extracurricular activities. Taking away this opportunity will decrease any positive advances made in prior years by dedicated and caring teachers. The though of having this otherwise normal class is a ludicrous thought and should immediately return to Great Valley High School. If said action is not taken, I assure you that negative consequences will take a large toll on the lives of Great Valley gifted students.

I was very excited to have a gifted homeroom and I hope that it will still be a possibility!

I just want to say that for most of us, our fellow gifted students are our greatest friends for a very considerable amount of time, and while I know we are supposed to make new friends and create bonds with many people, we are only ninth graders and we have a whole 1,460 more days (4 years) to do so, so why force us to step so outside our comfort zones so early on. It may end up ruining our entire high school experience.

This is something that I think will benefit all of the kids in the gifted program.

How did this even happen? I was really excited to have homeroom with so many of my greater friends, and then it all just went out the window.
