It is shameful that Gibbs does not have middle school. It is time.

I am homeschooling my daughter through middle school until she can go back to Gibbs High School. I wouldn't have thought twice to send her if Gibbs had a middle school. Our kids needs to stay in our community!!!

My son attended Holston Middle School adn Gibbs High School. I now live out of the district but agree Gibbs needs a Middle School.

Gibbs needs a new middle school. That's a fact. It's a domino effect. Displacing those kids causes overcrowding and displacement of other kids in other areas.

after countless issues with our daughter riding the bus to and from school we now take her and even with taking her in the am it should only take 20 minutes and often takes 40+ minutes between traffic...accidents...construction. I am not a fan of Holston AT ALL.

I was bused like this in school. It is horrible. You miss a lot of the day just from being bused so far. I was never part of my schools community because I did not live in the community I went to school in.

Our community needs a middle school how would you like to lose a minimum of two hours a day in transit. Not to have time for study extercorricular activities or sleep. All are needed for a well rounded child. We have a void in our community fill it!

I moved to Gibbs 1989, one of the reasons was the three schools being on one campus. My daughter was one of the first class sent to Holston. We fought this as a community. Now my granddaughters are zoned Holston. But will not attended due to the medical problems. They will attend at a private school?

no kid should be on a bus for a total of three hours a day. they have the land for a middle school but i guess we people in the gibbs community arent a priority. But lets help people on the other end of town that already have a middle school. Instead you people would rather shut the one we had down and send the kids way across town to school.... Real smart thinking. We want our kids back!!!!!!

I have had one child start at Holsten and finish at Halls. I have a second at Holsten right now who dreads the 45 minute bus ride to school twice a day. I have a 3rd starting Kindergarden this year. Please do something about our middle school situation.
