Repeal of Strict GHS Dance Policies

We the undersigned, respectfully ask that the new, strict dance policies for GHS school dances be repealed. As young adults, we have a responsibility to make decisions for ourselves. If we deem it appropriate to dance in a manner that is considered inappropriate by adults, then that is our decision. Dance etiquette is reflective of student freedom of expression and reflects American culture today. Additionally, if students choose not to attend a dance they are likely to get into more trouble by partaking in other social activities, example a party. A student who has payed anywhere from $10-100 for a school dance should be entitled to dance however they feel fit. If some students find school dance styles offensive, then they have the option to not attend. Thank You. GHS Students.
