We all know here at Granada Hills Charter High School the rules are way too strict. This rule is just absurd! PDA means Public Display of Affection. This just simply means you are showing love to the other person in your relationship. Therefore, you are not able to hold hands, kiss, and even hug! My friend keeps getting detention because he is not "arms' length" of his girlfriend. This rule is inhumane. Please sign this petition for you, or even your friends. Thank you!

I think that the actual PDA is too strict as far as what it means. However, the actual name of it, Public Display of Affection, means the actual expression of affections towards others. It shouldn't be carried out for just the littlest of things like hugging, holding hands, or kissing, unless the actual affection is bothersome to the people around and it is too much for just it just to be called "affections."

This rule is honestly so ridiculous. I got stopped for just holding my girlfriends hand in the hallway between classes. Its not like we were doing anything crazy, just walking to math class. Let us be.

Yeah, why would they not allow hugging. Secondly, what if, lets say I had a relative at this school, come up to hug and greet me, and BOOM, detention for both. Even if it was a friend, detention.

its not bad to be close to the person your in a relationship with, it show you love them but don't show to much affection

I see confliction between kissing and school which should stay behind a rule but with hugging and being close should be allowed

Well, actually never mind. They wouldn't take it that far.
