Support a Restroom in Golden Gate Park's Boat Playground

We live on 42nd Ave near Lincoln and my kids were all but raised at Boat Park. They have each defecated in the trees there numerous times, along with all their little friends and the homeless encamped nearby. We have already signed petitions asking for a restroom at this site. This is simply because we are not Pac Heights or other monied neighborhood, and because public restrooms and indigent populations make the city squeamish. Does this fly anymore? Our neighborhood is one of the most expensive in the country now. More families with children are moving here by the day. As for funding, why can't Outsidelands pay for it. The city makes gobs of money off that festival, none of which benefits the neighbors most affected and inconvenienced. Btw, those same neighbors who have children who use boat park, and are now signing yet another petition asking for a bathroom at boat park!

I went to the playground this week for the first time in 20 years, and it's also my first time as a mom. I was thoroughly surprised there was no bathroom considering so many families frequent the park! Sadly I have to say I saw a little girl urinate on the grass as her father came running to her telling her it's not okay. But the little girl replied "but there's no bathroom and I had to go!". There needs to be a bathroom.

I went to the playground this week for the first time in 20 years, and it's also my first time as a mom. I was thoroughly surprised there was no bathroom considering so many families frequent the park! Sadly I have to say I saw a little girl urinate on the grass as her father came running to her telling her it's not okay. But the little girl replied "but there's no bathroom and I had to go!". There needs to be a bathroom.

I live near the Boat Playground. I sometimes walk through it and notice a great many children and their parents taking advantage of the playground. Many children's birthday parties are held there. A restroom in this area is very much needed. Thank you.

I played in GG Park Boat Playground before there was a boat. My children, grandchildren and great grands have played there before and after the boat arrived. I will not say how many years this has been except to say: Thank you to the powers that be for the installation of a restroom so that families, children and visitors may have some long over due human comforts while enjoying the outdoors in their neighborhood. It is time for Restroom at the Boat Playground! !!

I played in GG Park Boat Playground before there was a boat. My children, grandchildren and great grands have played there before and after the boat arrived. I will not say how many years this has been except to say: Thank you to the powers that be for the installation of a restroom so that families, children and visitors may have some long over due human comforts while enjoying the outdoors in their neighborhood. As a parent of young children, I find it astounding that their isn't restrooms at the children's playground. How do you expect parents to use the facilities, if they have to worry about where the nearest restroom is for children.

I come to this park frequently with my 3 kids, it would greatly reduce my stress if there was a potty that they could use instead of having to scout a spot in the woods because they can't hold it for the 15 minute walk home.

I remember trying to potty train my little ones and boat park has no bathroom! How can a children's playground not have a bathroom?
