Getting Parkway High School Student back in school

Kids need to be with peers. They learn from each other. Over a screen is not the same! Believe teachers are trying but so much is being lost when they can’t see how kids are reacting. My son is doing well but even a kid with good grades is seeing them lower than in the past. Trapped at home without school & extra circulars is a huge mental health problem lying in wait for this age group. Doing the best for this population is getting them back like other districts.

High school students should be returning before K-8. They are more mature and can keep hands to self. The lack of social interaction is mentally destroying teens.

This has been awful, and I see no end in sight. This petition gives me hope the school board will change their opinions that physical school is what HS students need!

Time is to open up the Parkway schools again

Please let this clown Dr Marty take this recommendation to return high school kids back to in person learning from the other moron Page like he took all the other recommendations. Please make sure the school board knows not to renew this morons contract. He is part of the problem not the solution.

My son is a junior at Parkway West, he wants and needs to get back in the classroom.

Schools all over our region are back in session and not having issues. St Louis County Dept of Health has confirmed that there have been ZERO deaths from Covid-19 from age 0-39 in the county.

As a graduate of parkway west I can attest that these high school years are extremely important.. especially for mental health! The rate of suicide of teenagers is significantly increased when isolated from important friend and social interactions/relationships. Also how is it fair to let k-8 back but not high school? Just as many students in high school are unable to learn in this environment not to mention the amount of special needs students or students with an IEP or a undisclosed condition or disorder. Parkway is seriously lacking in their efforts to provide a great education and I am so sad at how disappointed it makes me.

Let them learn in person.
