Recently in Massillon Junior High School, there has been an incident that has been considered foolish, unnecessary, and not accurate. A few days ago, while in school, there was an activity the students had to do. It involved a blow up reindeer, somehow. Ben Krichbaum, a student from MJHS, thought it would be funny to his peers to "smack" the deer's 'butt'. This did not lead to anything close as a joke, however.

To sum it up, Ben had to get ISC; known as in school suspension, for this act. It was filed as "Sexual Harassment". Now, think about it for a second. Yes, it was a childish act, but it wasn't even a moving human being. It was certainly a toy, if I'm not mistaken. Made out of rubber, not any skin, it doesn't even have a beating heart. You would expect the term, "Sexual Harassment" to be a serious matter, involving actual sexual actions towards PEOPLE, not a toy.

Now, towards the end of the year, we go on a field trip to Cedar Point, which is $70. It stated on the slip that if we would receive 5 behavioral points or more, there would be no refunds and we could not go. ISC happens to be a total of 5 points. Why would you want to take $70 down the drain for you "smacking" a blow up deer's 'butt'? It seems foolish you might say, but Ben's chance to go to Cedar Point is at stake.

Please sign this Petition to certainly raise awareness against what was wrongfully done to Ben Krichbaum. Now I'll admit, he hasn't been the greatest student this year, but this is very unnecessary! Please leave comments on how you feel, and please, let Ben go to Cedar Point.
