I am the owner of a business located at 303 Broad Ave. Belle Vernon, called Back To The Rack. Its a consignment and gift shop, offering a variety of new or gently used name brand clothing, purses, shoes, jewelry,avon products and much more. If you've passed by, im sure you have seen the sign Bonnies Dance Studio out front. I am having a hard time getting the word around that my business does exist, since passers by automatically assume that this is still a dance studio. The fact of the matter is, this has not been a dance studio for over 2 years, but the owner, Bonnie, refuses to remove, cover, or alter her sign in any way. Upon checking into the borough ordinance, Ive come to discover that this sign is considered obsolete and clearly states that the sign should have been removed with 90 days of the studio closing. After bringing this to the owners attention, i once again asked that i be allowed to drape vinyl banners over her sign, advertising for my business, a business that does exist at this adress. Once again, she was not willing to negotiate. She now is going to appeal the zoning law in an attempt to keep her sign there...and allow me to lease the building for another 10 months, without effective advertisement. Since I have had numerous customers ask why "that sign" is still here, I've decided to get a petition signed by anyone that would like to help me show that her decision to keep this sign here has and continues to hurt my current, and potential customers and consignors, and of course myself, in that I cannot effectively advertise and let more people know that Back To The Rack does exist!  Thank you in advance for your help!
