I find it interesting that a school that was once known for being a place of self expression and harnessing the unity of each student's individuality and walk of life has slowly made it's way to where it is now. Being so petty as to knit pick the creative expression of the students in the name of "uniformity" and blatant sexism.

There should be no penalty for graduating early but should be recognized & applauded. If there are pictures of seniors that are shirtless then I don't see the problem with her having the senior picture she submitted.

This is ridiculous. Why should young women be treated differently than young men? Stop policing women of any age for their bodies and aspirations

Her shoulders and face should not be sexualized for being too suggestive.

We shouldn't be punishing young women, especially POC young women for the achievement of graduating early. This isn't an easy task, and the fact that she not only is graduating a year early but joining a university on the east coast next year is absolutely incredible. Don't partake in this ongoing cycle of racism and misogyny in schools. It's not what I ever saw sota stand for. And pulling a photo for a girl's shoulder is ridiculous. Photos deemed in appropriate by the district are ones nude or revealing, and if I can have a nude photo I took of someone place in state and be hung at stadium and still meet district guidelines, I think a shoulder should be pretty okay for a yearbook. Make the right choices.
