How about the issue with railroad crossings on Marion and Archibald? What happened? Km-long lineups of cars and trucks daily on Marion and Archibald, spewing out airpollution while idling a nd waiting for trains to pass.

Numerous individuals have been pointing out issues with businesses operating in the Mission Industrial Park as well as their flagrant disregard for rules and regulations with respect to their respective environmental and operational responsibilities - ultimately placing the health and well being of the people of the Dufresne neighbourhood and greater Winnipeg at serious risk for a number of years now! It is time that government and those individuals; either staff or elected officials at the municipal, provincial and federal levels do the right thing and take immediate action. We are finished with playing the role of the canary in the cage for the city of Winnipeg!!!

Ongoing studies are all pointing to the same conclusions, any proximity to these industries IS hazardous, they need to be better managed at the source. Densification of the city requires that these areas be addressed and remediated.
