The Gateway is a real asset to the bicycling community and to all the municipalities it runs through. Extending the trail to Scandia would help more communities “share the love” of the trail and more bikers to extend their off-road biking access.

The bike trail is a great exercise venue! The trail also provides wonderful family=time together riding bikes, walking and enjoying nature.

We bike to Scandia, with more and more traffic in that area, it would be extremely useful to have an off-road trail to use.

Such trails improve a community and add value to it - and reasons to visit. This is an investment that adds to the safety of all trail users.

I ride the Gateway Trail multiple times per week in the spring, summer, and autumn months. Part of why I purchased my home where I did was to be close to the trail. The Gateway is an immense boost to the quality of life in the area!

Trails are so important to communities for healthy activity, alternative forms of transportation and preserving natural resources. My friends, family and I have frequently used and enjoyed the Gateway and Browns Creek Trail and I support this proposed connection.

While the likelihood of me, as a resident of Minnetonka, riding this trail with any frequency is low, I still very much support it as a step forward in increasing the use of bikes by more people and as another strong underpinning of the foundation of a strong regional economy.
