Drop the charges. Bill took his dog, left his info and left. The dog has since died. Isn't that punishment enough.

It was his dog in the first place. I would do the same if it was my dog!

The dog catcher holding peoples dogs for ransom is cruel to both the owner and the dog. Stop this archaic practice now!

It was their fault for keeping the door unlocked so technically that’s not breaking in, also it is his property that he took

Bill is not a criminal. He is a great guy. The dog was his property and he hurt no one. Drop the charges!

No reason for charges, if any charges are laid it should be on dog control.

I am Bill's ex girlfriend and owned Rainy with him. He loved her and cared about her like no other person I have ever seen. I lived with Bill and Rainy(our brindle pitbull) he loved her and took care of her like it was our own child. If you have any questions please reach out to me, I have know William (Bill) Kinne since 2014 for 8 years I have known him and was living with him when we had Rainy. We broke up and he still brought her around to see me, and even let me know what was going on when she got cancer. He loved her, he was doing the wrong thing for the right reasons. If you have an animal and they go missing you know how much it can crush you, he just wanted her back home safe with her. Rainy came from a really bad abuse situation, and was used as a bait dog for fighting, she was held in a crate that was too small for most of her young life. To the point she has sores and cuts from sitting so long in a crate. We found her in Georgia under bleachers, and he grab her and saved her. It took us a year for her to get comfortable and figure out we weren't going to hurt her, took her a year to learn how to play, she was scared of toys. Bill put so much time and energy and money to turn her life around and he did. Despite all that she could still be terrified of new people, so you have to understand Bill was scared for her well being and mental state, he didnt want her to be traumatized again from being in a cage around people she doesnt know. He just wanted to get her out and was worried about her, please Bill is a good person a great person, I understand the circumstances but how would anyone feel if this happened to them, they would just want their animal back home safe. And I can tell you, all that shows his character as a person, not what the news says and not what the charges say. He loves animals, went to Boces for animal care, he was just scared and Rainy probably was too. She was like his child and was extremely attached to Bill so despite what he did he was

Bill loved that dog more than anything, she was his baby and HIS property, not the pound.

He simply did what any other loyal animal owner would do. Our pets are family members. If he’s guilty for having a heart then I’m guilty too.
