You know Sigur Ros. And if you don't, they are a gorgeous Icelandic band that has been around for 20 years making some of the most fantastic tunes imaginable. Combining an atmospheric musical approach/instrumentation, lush orchestrations, soft melodic vocal lines that are almost a cry, and earthy rhythms that add to the depth of their music, they are a band that is sure to captivate anyone who sets their ears on them.
Paul is a fan of Sigur Ros, and St. Louis musician of many instruments - playing guitar in his postrock band LzBnz., fretless bass in screamo tappers Laika, saxophone in the jazz sludge titans Dudley Roth, and guitar in math rock summer jams band The Bungie Chords. He has studied music since the age of 10.
Now, Sigur Ros doesn't necessarily need Paul to play saxophone for them. But goddamn, wouldn't it be pretty cool if he did? Spread the word!!
