Seeing 500 names on this list gives me hope for a safer workplace for all of us. I started this because I am exhausted from the daily risk, and knowing so many others feel the same makes this fight feel real.

As a certified Early Childhood Educator Level III, I am greatly disappointed in the Government for the exclusion of ECE’s in the priority vaccination categories. I work with UNMASKED toddlers in a stand-alone licensed childcare centre. I am put at a much greater risk, and so are the children/families in my care.
We need to take care of the wonderful staff, looking after our kids, grandchildren. So that the parents can continue to work. They put theirself in danger everyday. Not knowing where the parents have been or if they are following the SHA reccomendations or not. True heroes.
I have worked nonstop during the pandemic. ECE wages & respect for the work done are not recognized. This is a huge issue considering if it weren’t for daycares, no one would have been able to work to sustain the economy. ECEs need to be recognized and respected. Do better.
Caring for young children means not physically distancing from them. They need contact and while the youngest toddlers and babies can’t wear masks, they are in centres with and have siblings who are in school. Daycare workers should be vaccinated.
Health care workers need dependable child educators to be able to do their work. The #1 work barrier for Public Health vaccinators is school & daycare closures. Priorize the community Public Health depends on to do their work.
I said this before and I’ll say it again, the Saskatchewan Party screwed this.
This is so necessary... how can you expect people to work without childcare... all kids deserve to be safe!

We are front line and essential workers. We are professionals and it is sad to see that even the government does not see us as that. Teachers can remain 6ft apart from their students but Early Childhood Educators can't.
