He really is cringeworthy. He gets worse depending on co-commentator. Brian Smith seems to keep him in check but the Kirby/Kelly combination leaves me angry at his BS rather than enjoying the sport.

An ignoramus, an idiot, whose sense of humour is that of a 10-year-old. Cycling analysis: none. Doesn't even watch his TV monitors much, regularly misses decisive action. Bangs on about pesky roundabouts, gnarly roads, kickers, and leaf litter. Get rid of him!

Continually insults/belittles riders, countries,religious beliefs & the viewers by assuming that his lack of knowledge about cycle racing goes unnoticed -so many mistakes. How does he keep his job, are Sky management not interested in keeping customers. The use of the mute button & turning on Channel 4 cycle coverage when on keeps us sane.

Carlton has one benefit for me, watching recordings he sends me to sleep most nights,
Declan, Rob or my favourite Matt Stephens, or bring back Hamon, or if Eurosport can afford it the cool, calm Ned Boulting preferably supported by the thoughtful and oblivously knowledgable Dave Millar
