Would rather sit in the middle of a Syrian battlefield than sitting on one of these chairs again.

I know this is a library, but we refuse to suffer in silence. When buying new chairs for the sixth form library, two factors had to be considered. Great comfort, whilst maintaining great working productivity. However, it soon became clear that both of these factors had been completely disregarded. On first impression, I was satisfied with the investment. Although the large surface area of the previous chairs had been compromised, I am a big fan of the buoyancy and energy return these new chairs possess. HOWEVER, after deeper analysis and further inspection, these chairs really showed their true colours... Firstly they are about as flexible as a popadom. Like your back? Tough. If A levels don’t break you down, these chairs will. The force required to slide these chairs across the carpet is nothing short of embarrassing. Enjoying your time studying? Good. Because once you’ve tucked yourself in, you’re not moving ever again. These chairs “glide” across the floor with about as much elegance as a giraffe on roller skates. I’ll say it once, I’ll say it again. Embarrassing. The colour of these chairs perfectly illustrate my experience in the library as a result of this change. Dull and grey. They about as much use as a chocolate teapot and we need them gone. I hope that whoever coordinated this operation realises their errors and fixes this injustice. Thank you for your time, Jacob Kelly #thisisntchair
