Peterborough needs speedway all of my family have been regulars since speedway started at the show ground. I would go with my father then also my son who took his daughters so 4 generations! Why make Peterborough into one of those lifeless towns full of houses taking away all the facilities so people only have a number of gyms or golf courses!. This area could host a number of world class events if developed properly which could really boost the local economy bringing many tourists to the area

Speedway remains a great value, easily accessible motor sport that is family friendly. The team format allows towns and cities to develop a fan base and unique identity/‘ownership’ of the club and its riders

The Council have taken the first brave decision regarding the matter of OUR Showground, which has always been there for the people of Peterborough, East Anglia and indeed all of the UK. Now let's crack on, tell these money grabbing developers they've taken enough land to make their obscene amount of profit and give the people back their beloved Showground.
