We need this. It's the heart of this city.... all the events that have happened here, so many memories made also. Where will we go next before its destroyed and taken away.

We need Speedway back at the Showground! No ifs or buts. It's been supported so well for so long there.

Lets put Peterborough back on the map, for the people of Peterborough and surrounding areas as was intended. Bring back the show ring and honour the respect local families whose loved ones ashes were interred there, with 3G pitches for football and hockey on thr centre green, reinstate a sponsored Grandstand with better seating and disabled access, and use the back of it for offices, pharmacy, shop and GP surgery use. Re-instate the successful Peterborough Panthers speedway team, bring in motorcycle training schools to get local kids off the streets and sofas, reinstate Truckfest, MCN show, East of England show, religious shows, caravan/motorhome shows, pony shows, dog shows, Antique Road Shows, car boot sales, a BMX circuit, a motorcross track perhaps. Why not have beautiful well maintained garden areas, a small educational zoo or wildlife park for children, a fairground, the opportunities are endless with an administration centre on site to run the proposal. This will create jobs for the area and support the hotel infrastructure already in place. Put the pride back into the City and protect the local plan as was intended.

Speedway is needed in Peterborough Showground, we have had it there 50 years along with many other events. So much is being missed, truck fest, BMF, bonfire, just to mention a few

Showground needs attractions to Peterborough, house is immediate investment, but does not attract people to Peterborough.
Peterborough will die like any town who does not attract people to visit......
