The loss of showground is another sign that Peterborough is disappearing off the National map - even less reason to visit. It's a huge loss to our city. The many shows our family attended now take place elsewhere so we go there and spend our money. The strain of another 1500 homes on the infrastructure around the area will be enormous. As for affordable much needed housing I agree but that will not be met by this scheme as the people wheeled out for the last meeting need social housing and that is not included. Transport systems would also need to be in place and with one road serving that estate can't see that working.

Get our events back. truck fest, Expo and some small festivals horrified that Peterborough council are so out of touch with its residents they would rather sell it to devlopers for back handers, instead of strengthing the local economy that many depend on in these times of cost of living.

This would be the final death knell for Peterborough. We want our exhibitions, antique fairs, rural crafts and all the other events that took place here. They killed off the East of England agricultural show for goodness sake let’s have something back for the area. Peterborough is becoming a laughing stock joke for the rest of the country. The city where you cannot have touring shows, a proper market, swim or even real shops .

Peterborough DOES NOT need more houses, especially houses that locals can not afford and so are priced out of the city. Let’s have something fun and a draw in for the city for once!

The loss of a family friendly space is disappointing. The various shows must have helped the local economy. And the speedway track was a good advert for Peterborough

Along with ensuring local policies and national frameworks are adhered too, speedway is family orientated sport, and an important part of the local community. Throughout their long existence, the Panthers have also attracted many thousands of visitors to the Peterborough area, and have generated national and international coverage. The club needs to remain, to continue this.

I've enjoyed many great and varied events at the showground, interspersed with regular visits to speedway. It's loss is really hurting the local economy and area at the expense of a quick return for developers

Went there as a kid and always followed the Panthers. Peterborough Panthers is a big part of Peterborough, it needs the speedway back

Really miss my trips to Peterborough Speedway. An excellent location and facility for all sorts of events. Miss coming down to Truckfest as well. Cambridgeshire loss, Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire gain financially for now.

Speedway is an important part of Peterborough’s history. The sport put the city on the map internationally. More broadly, the site must be protected as a massive asset for the city and the wider region.

We need events like Truckfest, BMF and other events back at the Showground. People in this city need something to do, enough with the houses concreting over every green space in and around the city. Where and when is it going to end?

The Showground and speedway attracts visitors to the city and is therefore an asset that needs to be retained
