Officer Dean is a great officer, he was more involved in the students lives than most teachers. If there was every a day when someone needed help or guidance he was there. William monroe highschool needs him back !

Kevin makes a difference with the kids...my daughter feels totally comfortable with him. He connects with students while remaining effective in his job.

I usually don't get involved in the back-and-forth however in this instance it involves my child. I believe letting officer Deane go was a mistake! Our children all respected him and were comfortable going to him when they needed him. I'm standing by my child, and all the voices of these children who want him returned as the wonderful officer that he is!

Sheriff has made the wrong decision as he knows how kids are getting these days officer dean was an amazing person he was there wen we needed him he did right and always made us smile u specially me he's a great person and shows what's right now wrong u need to bring him back and take someone who actually don't need to be there deans worth every moment to be there... Thanks for all u have done for me and more love u Kevin

Deane was the best cop anyone could ever ask for, he was the reason most of us students looked forward to coming to school. Steve why get rid of the best thing that has ever happened to Monroe!

First, No one should ever be fearful of losing their job for exercising their right to freedom of speech. Nor should they be dismissed without explanation. Its simple, did they violate Policy or comit a criminal offense that would excuse them from their duties or is this personal? Whether these Officers publicly supported Smith or Taylor has absolutely no bearing on their abilities as an Officer. I personally am disgusted and so tired of seeing good, caring, qualified Officers careers being destroyed in my County, over non-sense at best. Yet a select few remain...Deputy Jim Donohue was also let go with the same explanation given, NONE. He served this community for 17 dedicated years and has always been an upstanding Man. When will this childish behavior STOP! Having kids in school who know and respect Both Officers, this infuriates me. People, start asking questions of your Sheriff's Office. You deserve answers!

What is the county and sheriff Smith going to do when all these young adults take a stand and protest out side of the school till they rehire Kevin Deane! I will stand by my child for standing up for what she believes in and I would hope that every other parent would too.
