My son, John, is a veteran who served in the National Guard in Afghanistan and Iraq. He returned from Afghanistan and began showing signs of PTSD. He isolated himself for a while. After his 22 year old sister passed away suddenly, he checked himself into the local VA. The VA put him in a detox unit for a week due to the excessive amount of xanax he had been prescribed. When he went home, he was delusional, excitable and paranoid.
For the last eight months he has been struggling, but wants help. The VA has been ignoring him. The offered one day a week out patient counseling. He wants to get into a long term dual diagnosis program that will help him with his PTSD.
Will you help us get him the help he is looking for by signing our petition. Our intentions are simple. We want him healed.

im spending my days calling the va and trying to get someone to actually listen to johns story instead of just pushing us aside. reading the messages from other families who have gone through this same nightmare is heartbreaking but it also keeps me going.

im honestly blown away by how many people took a moment to stand with us. seeing all this support for john gives me so much hope that we can actually get him the care he deserves.

I know this family personally, and their pain has been enormous. No veteran who has offered himself for our protection and freedom should be without the necessary help.
Sister, Please pray and pass the word around. We think our Congress person might be helpful, if enough people pay attention. We live in Tennessee and our VA hospitals are not rated well. He is not allowed to receive services in other areas. We think that can change with some political pressure. God Blesz. Tom
The VAs conduct has been disgusting. Help John.
Give this young man the medical attention he needs!

John and all veterans who suffer like him are in my prayers! They deserve the best of treatment for what they have gone through for the rest of us. How else can we all help?
