What a fun means of expressing one's creativity. A yearbook is meant to capture what is significant to students. It is 2014, and in the high-tech world of digital art kids could easily organize and submit their own photos to companies that create memory books, thus making school annuals obsolete. Schools would be wise to offer more creative options.

As cat owner, animals are as much a part of our personality as our hairstyle, clothes, etc... Its not hurting anyone - stop being so uptight and live life, smile at quirky oddities such as this young man, and embrace individual uniqueness.
