It's not violent or vulgar. There is not a tattoo or extravagant hairstyle. It's not even a horrible jacket There are no caps or yo pants down buttock. So why would be prohibited?

This student obviously values strongly the relationship he has with his cat. The picture is professional, and in no way offensive. We as a society need to be tolerant of alternative lifestyles and the emotional needs of others. I certainly hope you don't break this poor child's heart by declining to let him fully memorialize his high school experience.

I can see nothing harmful, inflammatory, unkind or wrong with this photo! It makes NO sense as to why there would even be a discussion about allowing it!
I think school admin's need to take a step back & keep their opinions to themselves. He's not hurting anyone. In fact, he shows he has something the admin's don't have - strength of character, compassion & caring for animals & a willingness to lead, not follow. Bravo for him! Shame on the school!

I've seen girls with slutty senior photos allowed in year books and this guy isn't being allowed to submit a picture with his damn cat? This is too brilliant and creative a photo to not be allowed...

Allow this awesome picture. If not, that is censorship and an infringement of his (and the cat's) rights!
PAWESOME!
