I have been listening to the soundtrack on repeat and it still feels like a total void where that version should be. People keep reaching out to share how much this specific recording would mean to them during the holidays. I am currently looking into the legal history of the label dispute to see if there is any path forward for us.

Seeing this much energy behind the missing recording proves I am not the only one who feels this void every holiday season. It is overwhelming to realize how many people share this specific longing for Mariah's version of the song.

The world needs to hear her vocals on this track. It was written for her voice and it honestly feels like a missing piece of her holiday discography.
I hope this actually does something. Even if she has to re-record it! Mariah, you've written a masterpiece. Faith hill did a spectacular job and you releasing your own version as the songwriter won't take anything away from her, it will only help to cement the song's legacy as a classic!!
