My late bro Sky Saxon turned me on to him at the Whiskey in '69, and later I saw him at Woodstock. His band and guitar playing was like Hendrix-fkn OUTTA THIS WORLD! He's a person who definitely upped the bar in the rock world and guitar playing and belongs in the R&R Hall of Fame!

Definitely one of the all time great songs in the history of rock n roll performed by some of the finest musicians ever to play rock n roll.

Leslie's cannonball vocals, punchin heavy rock blues guitar riffs and sound & Mountain as a group has got me with Mississippi Queen & Never In My Life harder than any band I've ever heard! Seriously one of R&R Hall of Fame's top bands!

Leslie West and Mountain make up the fabric of rock and roll. Original, intense, powerful...everything from the lyrics to the singing to the musicianship. I for one will share this petition until they are inducted. Honestly, they should've been one of the top thirty artists to be chosen.

As a musician who has played & sang live (guitarist/bassist/keyboards/ drummer) this band, MOUNTAIN, influenced myself and many other musicians regarding American Heavy Rock Music. In fact this is what Wikipedia says about that very fact: *Mountain is one of many bands to be commonly credited as having influenced the development of "heavy metal" music in the 1970s. The groups musical style primarily consisted of hard rock, blues rock and heavy metal. My God, along with the TALENTS of Corky Laing, Steve Night, the superbly soulful and creative (guitarist and vocalist) Leslie West & Felix Pappalardi, mostly on a Gibson EB-1 violin bass (who produced Cream's "Hall of Fame" album in 1969, "Disraeli Gears" (not to mention a litany of many other "Cream" albums and other notable artists, including Mountain) just all culminates to a "Super Group"! Forgive me for my lack of brevity & I realize I'm "echoing" what is written on this site. However, Rock & Roll, edgy Soul and hard rock lovers unite and give them your vote, please. A FINAL SALUTE! Born out of Long Island, New York, Mountain was and is STILL, by the GREAT Mr. Leslie West, giving the ENTIRE WORLD, a FANTASTIC TASTE of great "American Heavy Rock"!
