I've been a Mountain fan since 1970 when I heard the Woodstock recording and began to collect their albums. I always loved the chemistry of Felix thumping his EB1 next to Leslie howling on his Junior thru Sun cabinets and the contrast of their voices. I was too young to see the original band and the first time I saw Leslie live was in New Haven just after the release of The Great Fatsby when he blew the roof off the old Arcadia Ballroom - to this day one of the finest displays of of blues and rock guitar I've ever heard. I also had the pleasure of meeting Felix in person when he played with Creation at the same venue. I have gone to see Leslie play too many times to count over the years and I think I have all the music he has put out save a few bootlegs. The band Mountain deserves to be in the RR hall of fame. If nothing else, Leslie West deserves to be in the RR hall of fame for influencing a generation or two of guitar players. Thank you Leslie and Corky and Steve for the music that I still enjoy. Rest in peace Felix.

seen mountain at kingston ny theatre; sensational band never forget got the debut album in 71? partied( stayed home school0 & watched my desk lamp as Leslie quirked off the laird; my friend; blue room? unbelievable album feelings from a party w a great( maybe one greatest bands all time for that.... yeah man, yeah;remeber woodstock forever!
