People change overtime and learn from their mistakes, therefore reflecting off of previous made actions. Long overdue penalty in a person may only cause harm to the individual. And I believe the point of the punishment bestowed upon Layla Kettinger was to make a point and exert authority. I believe Kettinger has changed for the better, reflecting off her previous actions and willing to move past such buffoonery. Kettinger and I may not associate or communicate often, but I can see she’s sincerely sorry for her rebellious behavior. She has moved past those who have wrongly influenced her and supported such utterly irresponsible actions. I foresee much more than a glimmer of hope within her new friends she finds herself to be around. Without a doubt they will positively impact her current behavior and help her make more rational decisions. All in all, please consider pardoning Kettinger’s past mistake.
