Many Koreans have signed a petition to get Korea (Im Yong Soo) out of the well known anime called Hetalia. The petition was successful and Im Yong Soo was deleted from the anime.
The Koreans had some reasons why Im Yong Soo would be banned:
1. The design of Hanbok (Korean traditional clothing) was designed wrong. The creator of Hetalia just mixed the hanbok from the different dynasties (and the woman's top) to the design.
2. In Hetalia, they pictured Korea as someone who takes ownership of everything.
3.They made the personality of Im Yong Soo offensive
The purpose of this petition is to persuade the creator of Hetalia to:
1. Change the design of Im Yong Soo to the true hanbok (just clothing :) )
2. Make the personality of Im Yong Soo less offensive so that the Koreans can be comfortable when watching the show ( not to change the whole personality as I like his care free nature )
3. Ask the Korean Government to put Korea back into the show after the minor changes
Please help the Hetalia fanbase by signing this petition! Im Korean myself and I want to see our country in this show! It is one of my favourite animes and it is sort of sad to see Korea left out!
