On March 7th, 2013, Ivelisse Velez was denied a TNA contract. The previous Thursday (February 28th,) she competed in a match against Lei'D Tapa. Ivelisse won this match. While both ladies had a fantastic showing, Ivelisse was the better woman. Ivelisse is very technically skilled, eventually making Tapa tap out in the match the had. She has a MMA background and competed in NXT, WWE's developmental territory, under the name Sofia Cortez. On March 7th, the Gut Check judges decided Ivelisse and Lei'D's fate. (Gut Check is a program where two uncontracted wrestlers compete for a contract, but as you see, the winner of the match isn't guaranteed a contract.) Lei'D was the one that was chosen. I consider this a terrible mistake on the judges' part. For this reason, I am officially boycotting TNA in support of Ivelisse. I will not watch until Ivelisse is under contract. Please join me. I am aiming to collect 400 signatures. Once this petition gets those signatures, I will be aiming to get TNA to take notice. Our official hashtag on Twitter is #BoycottTNA. I am aiming to trend this. Ivelisse Velez is an incredibly skilled woman, and I hope you can recognize true talent and join this fight.
