One thing I've seen is the janitors/hall monitor staff giving favor to particular students in the neighborhood program. (i.e. letting them cut in lunch line, which actually has a REALLY big effect on the other students because they have to wait longer to get lunch. Not fair, everybody needs to grow up and wait in line just like everybody else. This isn't preschool.)

During the VEX tournament, the parents and NJHS members were the ones stuck having to clean the back tables. I went back there hourly, sweeping away metal parts and stray rubber bands from the robots. I walked so much, in fact, I lost the feeling in 2 of my toes for a week. The following Tuesday, they closed off those tables because, apparently, "the students made too much of a mess back there!" I saw a volunteer parent regularly going back to that area and mopping it, and I got all kinds of gunk on my clothes going under the tables and cleaning, and the fact they have the audacity to complain that their students to not clean is extremely hypocritical; they didn't clean it, themselves! Sign this petition to get our janitors to spend less time with their backtalk, and more time doing their jobs.
