Firstly, I would like to put out a warning. If you are a vegetarian, this petition will revolt you. If you are a health nut, this petition will repel you. If you hate junk food, this petition will disgust you. If you don’t care about being a little unhealthy or like to indulge yourself, read on. Thank you.

In debate class, we play a game where we click the random article button on Wikipedia and try to navigate our way through links to different Wikipedia pages. I suggested the popular Taco Bell signature “Doritos Locos Tacos” as the ending page. Unfortunately, the teacher decided that was not relevant. When I got home that day I tried to play the game by myself. It took me five minutes and then I was stuck on the Doritos page. “Doritos Locos Tacos” has no page on Wikipedia.

Why, you ask? I’m not sure why. These tacos are delicious. If you have not had a bag of “Nacho Cheese” Doritos chips, stop reading, walk down to a convenience store, buy a bag and come back. Now that that is over, imagine those chips covered in all of taco fixings you love. It is crunchy, spicy and most importantly delicious.

Wikipedia unfortunately does not have a page for this delicacy. But before getting angry, let’s find out whether Wikipedia recognizes other companies’ signature dishes. They have the “Big Mac.” They have the “Whopper.” They have the less known fried-chicken-instead-of-the-bun-sandwich, the “Double Down.” “Cheesy Bites” even redirected to Pizza Hut. It seems that it is just “Doritos Locos Tacos” that are unrepresented.

I may not be a regular at Taco Bell, but these tacos are good. I have had my share of “Whoppers” and “Big Macs” and neither is particularly interesting or good. You can easily get better burgers at a steakhouse. You can get a mixture of tacos and chips anywhere else, but NOT the distinct Doritos flavor. If you want this combination of cheesy and tex-mex goodness, there is only one place available

“Doritos Locos Tacos” lovers should be represented on Wikipedia. Within the first 10 weeks of being on sale, customers bought 100 million “Doritos Locos Tacos”. It is a crowd pleaser. People used to put chips into their tacos and now they can get it in one-not-so healthy yet still delicious package.

There is even a variety of Locos Tacos flavors from “Fiery” to “Cool Ranch.” This is a unique menu option in a fast food industry full of generically named French fries and zesty unspecified burritos. “Doritos Locos Tacos” shakes up the menu in a needed way, which Wikipedia should respect.
