GET DENA HIGLEY OUT OF DAYS OF OUR LIVES (AGAIN)!!

Please don't let Dena destroy the show and the characters we love. She's horrible and should never head write for any show.

In the words of daytime legend, Erika Slezak, "She doesn't write stories. She writes events." Her last stint at Days sent viewers away in droves. She only writes for her favorites and to hell with the rest of the cast. This woman has got to go. Otherwise, she will be the final nail in this show's coffin.

The death of Will Horton was infused with obvious homophobia, and both Josh Griffith and Dena Higley were responsible for broadcasting a message of gay-hate to millions. She needs to be fired as Griffith was. Everyone involved in that should be fired. The show has become cheap, lazy, hateful and misogynist on top of homophobic.

I have watched DAYS off and on since the mid 80's. I love the actors, but the writing often is so bad and LAZY. Dena Higley is the queen of the recycled lousy plot lines. She demonstrates little care for the integrity of the characters she writes about. Certainly has no care for the fans - and without us there is no DAYS. When you have an incompetent writer like her you lose fans, and they don't come back. Why? Because they don't want to see their favorite characters ruined by hacks who seem to hate the very thing that makes soaps special. DAYS fired the wrong writer!

I'm looking for a reason to resume watching DOOL again, and this news does NOT make me want to do that. I'm familiar with her work on DOOL as well as OLTL, and I know how bad she is. I was hoping any HW change would result in her being out, and Josh Griffith hanging around. DOOL has made a very, very big mistake here, but it can be undone. Please fix this mistake before the next big announcement from NBC/Sony is the cancellation of DOOL.

PLEASE rehire Josh Griffith as Head Writer

Dena Higley is WRONG for Days of Our Lives. She doesn't respect the core family characters that have made this show loved for 50 yrs. She only writes a handful of recycled storylines that leave characters isolated from the rest of the characters. She never gives a character a proper exit. She just drops them in thin air. Stories have no depth or reason. Josh Griffith's writing saved this show, not hers. The show is noticingly awful under her writing. I left the first time she was head writer. I came back because Josh Griffith respected and brought back the characters Steve and Kayla and wrote well for them. I don't want to stop watching the show I've watched since 1984. Dena has to go. She's not a good fit for Salem!

Simply put No to Hughley days can and should do better than her

Please rectify the mistake of keeping Dena Higley as a head writer. Her writing is atrocious and has ruined the show multiple times. Even without Josh Griffith, a new writer would be much better (for example, Ron Carlivati or Sheri Anderson) or promote two current writers (Ryan Quan and, perhaps, Lorraine Broderick)? I will quit watching upon Dena's leave of absence ending in the Days that air beginning in September. I can't take another reign of her ruining this show, especially if this time it is for good. Please listen to your fans.

Dena has come close to ruining my favorite couples of days past. Her writing is terrible. Please help the days fans before its too late & fire dena.

This woman is one of the worst writers the show has ever had. Get rid of her already!

We fans love Days, we want it to succeed and stay on air for years to come. This will not happen if Dena Higley remains head writer. Please do the right thing for the show, the actors and the fans.

Dena Higley has no business being a head writer for Days of our Lives or any television show because she has no originality or creative ideas. She just recycles old plots and schemes. Boring and repetitive writing. Snooze worthy.

For all the time she has been there, before and now, she has not written stories that were like the time before her
