I visited this place a couple of years ago. Animals kept in small dirty cages.

The current people who run Capricorn are only in it for financial gain, the welfare of the animals are suffering

Disgusting place, animals are neglected, about a year ago the trustees were locked out of the computer system and passwords changed. She then barred them from the premises. They have not had accounts audited properly, missing money everywhere, no audit trail and not only is she not operating within the guidelines of the constitution but she is also outside the operating guidelines of the charity commission.
She is a disgrace to the rescue world. Requires investigating and removing and the place needs closing and the animals moved to clean hygenic conditions as soon as possible.

To claim to be a voice for animals and then leave them wanting whilst profiting from donations given in faith is ABUSE!!!

I did work experience here... the conditions were awful I was replacing water in the ferret enclosure and theres this really old man that works there as I was about to change the water (that was green on the bottom covered in alage with a huge LIVE water beetle in it) he snapped at me and said it "didn't need changing" I scrubbed all of the water bowls and he wasn't very happy but they were vile. Also there is no washing up stuff or liquid to wash the food bowls for all animals which means they cannot be washed properly every day I came in there was dried food stuck to them that would be left for days. I did the best that I could to help the crappy environment and cleaned up .But it is a very big job. They seem to care for the animals however they are rude impatient people that didn't even notice I was there.

I made a donation via pay pal , from the collection plate of my animal loving grandmother . I found it strange not to have had a thank you or even an email of acknowledgment for the donation. It is now with regret that we donated to an animal
Charity who is under such a cloud. Why are animal charities not routinely inspected visually and accounts annually? I truly hope this is a storm and not animals suffering through greed and selflessness xx
